March 30, 2026 – The 63rd Maharana Kumbha Music Festival, a three-day event dedicated to the rich tradition of Indian classical music, concluded on a high note at the Railway Training School, Udaipur on Sunday (March 29). The powerful captivating performances of music and dance left the audience spellbound for the richness of Indian classical dance traditions.

In the first session of the third day, renowned Odissi dancer Vani Madhav and her group enthralled the audience with Mangalacharan and Ritu Nayika, depicting the emotions of spring and summer seasons.

The Dashavatar performance, based on poet Jayadeva’s Geet Govind, portrayed the 10 incarnations of Lord Vishnu, symbolising the establishment of righteousness and cosmic balance. The performance concluded with Bhajami Vindhyavasini, showcasing a harmonious blend of dance, expression and music.

Artists Neha Bhardwaj, Akanksha Maharana, Jahnavi Gandhi and Kaushiki Das accompanied Vani Madhav. Musical support was provided by Prafulla Mangaraj (Mardala), Prashant Kumar Behera (vocals), Dheeraj Kumar Pandey (flute) and Gopinath Swain (violin).

In the second session, Kathak artist Vishwadeep and his group showcased Krishna’s childhood tales. The Mughal influence was reflected through Chaap Tilak, followed by a presentation inspired by the Jaipur Gharana and Rajasthan’s folk culture.

The finale depicted Krishna’s legends — Kaliyamardan and Govardhan Leela — delivering a message of water and environmental conservation.

Chief Guest Dr JK Tylia presided over the event. President Dr Prem Bhandari, Secretary Manoj Moordia, Executive president Sushil Dashora, vice-presidents Dr Pushpa Kothari, Dr Devendra Singh Hiran and Dr Pamil Modi felicitated the artists.

The event was hosted by Dr Lokesh Jain and Vidushi Jain.
