Udaipur marks World Tourism Day
On the occasion of World Tourism Day, tourists visiting palaces and gardens were welcomed in a traditional way. Entry at all government managed tourist spots and museums were made charge less for today.

Both Indian and foreign tourists enjoyed the warm welcome at Saheliyon ki Badi. The visitors were greeted with garlanding, tilak ceremony and a musical backdrop by local artists. School kids were also seen welcoming guests.
The theme for World Tourism Day, 2013 is “Tourism and Water: Protecting our Common Future”. The day is marked globally to generate awareness among common mass about tourism and related industries.
This year’s theme is also closely related to Udaipur as it is known as City of Lakes and water plays major role in Udaipur’s tourism industry.
