Udaipur Rovers Depart for First National Rover-Ranger Jamboree

Udaipur district sends an 18-member Rover team, including 16 Rovers and 2 Rover Leaders, to participate in the first National Rover-Ranger Jamboree in Dudhli, Chhattisgarh from January 9-13, 2026

Udaipur, January 6, 2026: Under the aegis of the National Headquarters of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, New Delhi, the first National Rover-Ranger Jamboree is being organised from January 9 to 13, 2026, at Dudhli, Balod District, Chhattisgarh.

An 18-member team from Udaipur district, including 16 Rovers and 2 Rover Leaders, has departed for Chhattisgarh to participate in this national-level event.

Under the leadership of State Chief Commissioner Niranjan Arya, the Rajasthan team, led by State Organisation Commissioner Scout Puran Singh Shekhawat and State Training Commissioner Bannalal, will participate in Chhattisgarh. District Organisation Commissioner Scout Surendra Kumar Pandey from Udaipur division will serve as Divisional Contingent Leader.

The Udaipur team includes nine Rovers from Manikya Lal Verma Shramjivi College under Rover Leader Dr Narayan Singh Rao and senior Rover Mate Vishal Gupta leading the 53rd Rover Uday Open Rover Crew, Headquarters Rover Open Crew. The 18-member team consists of Shubham Menaria, Prafull Chaubisa, Mukesh Menaria, Prince Jat, Punit Menaria, Bhavesh Udavat, Praveen Hirawat, Rithik Menaria, Yuvraj Menaria, Divyansh, Brijwani, Mangal Singh Yadav, Virendra Singh Chundawat, Nikhil Sahu, Arya Kumar, Shubham Nama, Kuldeep Vaishnav, Dr Narayan Singh Rao and Vishal Gupta.

District Organisation Commissioner Scout Surendra Kumar Pandey said that around 1,000 Rovers and Rangers from Rajasthan will participate in this jamboree. About 18,000 Rovers and Rangers from across India and neighbouring countries, from various government and private colleges, universities and schools, will join the event.

The jamboree team was seen off with best wishes from Udaipur, by Principal Dr Malay Paneri of Manikya Lal Verma Shramjivi College, CO Scout Udaipur, Deputy State Organisation Commissioner Scout Manmohan Swarnkar, Deepak Sharma, local Udaipur association secretary, Uday Open Rover Crew Rover Leaders, parents, local Scouts and Rovers.

Pandey further informed that before departure, a three-day district-level jamboree preparation camp was held at Mandal Camp Centre, Udayanivas, Udaipur.
