Zinc City Sways to the Global Tunes of Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival

Udaipur, Feb 9, 2026 - The Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival 2026 concluded on a memorable note, witnessing a rich confluence of Indian and international music on the iconic open stages of Udaipur (Zinc City). Conceptualised and presented by Seher, in association with Hindustan Zinc and in collaboration with the Government of Rajasthan and the Department of Tourism, the festival concluded its historic journey of 10 years with performances celebrating cultural exchange and musical diversity.

The final day of the festival began with musical performances at Manjhi Ghat (Ambrai Ghat) starting at 9:00 am, offering audiences a serene and soulful start to the day. The session began with a Hindustani classical music performance by Siddharth Belmannu followed by a performance from Spain, From Father to Son: Flamenco — a legacy passed down through generations. They brought the soulful traditions of Spanish flamenco to life on the ghat.

As the festival moved into its afternoon sessions, performances at the Fateh Sagar embankment began at 3:30 pm with Poland's Wolosi which captivated the audience with their energetic interpretation of Polish folk music. The afternoon session concluded with a performance by Indian Ocean, pioneers of Indian fusion rock. 

The festival concluded with performances at Gandhi Grounds from 6:00 pm. Spain's Flamenco Dream opened the evening with their energetic blend of Spanish jazz and pop. Chile's Calle Mambo then enthralled the audience with their energetic blend of Latin rhythms. The festival's final performance was by renowned musician and live performer Amit Trivedi. His performance ensured tremendous audience participation, bringing the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival 2026 to a grand and impressive close.

Over the three days of the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival 2026, artists from around the world enriched the festival with their unique voices. 9th Grader Nord from Norway presented a unique fusion of Norwegian and Tamil folk rock, while Sofiane Saidi from Algeria captivated the audience with his soulful Rai performance. Kailash Kher and Kailasa Live enthralled the audience with their folk-Sufi music and soulful vocals.

Morning sessions featured Radha Bubukwar 's refined light classical performance, while France's Les Itinerantes added elegance to the music with their soft acapella style. Amrit Ramnath's contemporary classical interpretations deeply engaged the audience, while Cape Verde's Lucibella added emotional warmth through her Morna and Coladeira compositions. Taba Chake's folk-inspired melodies struck a deep chord with the audience, while Cameroon's Valerie Ekoumé enlivened the atmosphere with her infectious Afro-pop rhythms. OAFF's modern electronic soundscapes and Jonita Gandhi's powerful stage presence and multifaceted vocal range transformed the festival into a memorable musical journey. 

With the conclusion of the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival, Udaipur reaffirmed its identity as a leading cultural destination. Through a diverse fusion of classical, folk, and contemporary global music, the festival highlighted the city's vibrant and vital role in promoting international music and cultural exchange.
