6th Edition of Udaipur Tales School Storytelling Contest on Dec 19
The Udaipur Tales International Storytelling Festival will host a storytelling competition for students from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Vidya Bhawan School
Udaipur, Dec 18, 2025 - Udaipur Tales International Storytelling Festival is organising its sixth edition of storytelling competition for school students on December 19 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Vidya Bhawan School, Udaipur.
Sushmita Singha, co-founder of Udaipur Tales International Storytelling Festival, said that over the past few years, the competition has seen enthusiastic participation from leading schools in Udaipur, making it a much-awaited platform for young storytellers to showcase their imagination and voice. This year, students from Vidya Bhavan School, St Anthony Senior Secondary School, Delhi Public School, The Junior Study, The Senior Study, Saifee School and Neerja Modi School will participate in the competition.
This initiative is an important part of the festival's ongoing efforts to celebrate, preserve and pass on India's rich oral storytelling traditions to younger generations.
Co-founder Salil Bhandari said that Readmeo is the digital partner for the Udaipur Tales International Storytelling Festival. All participants will receive a free one-month subscription to the Readmeo app, while winners will receive a one-year premium subscription and the exclusive opportunity to release their audiobook on the Readmeo platform.
Readmeo is a children's storytelling app that offers interactive stories, audiobooks and read-along experiences designed to make reading engaging and accessible for young learners.
Sushmita explained that the collaboration with Readmeo will give the opportunity to combine traditional storytelling with digital innovation, giving children not only a contemporary audience but also a lasting platform for their stories.
The competition will be judged by a panel of experienced and expert language and storytelling experts.
Founded in 2017 by Sushmita and Salil, Udaipur Tales has over the years hosted participants from diverse countries, uniting people across borders through stories and giving meaning to shared experiences.
