Udaipur to host Kayaking and Canoeing National Championship
As part of the Lake Festival, Udaipur is set to host paddlers from 15 states for the national Kayaking and Canoeing championships from tomorrow onwards.
As part of the Lake Festival, Udaipur is set to host paddlers from 15 states for the national Kayaking and Canoeing championships from tomorrow onwards.
Paddlers from 15 teams including Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, J&K, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, UP and Kerala will vie for the top honours at the Kayaking and Canoeing national championship to be conducted at Fateh Sagar.
The Kayaking and Canoeing championships will be conducted from 11th to 14th February and will be conducted at the promenade side of Fateh Sagar.
“We have practiced very hard to compete in this championship. We want to win as many medals as we can win,” said Ashiq Hussain Tinda a gung-ho participant from Jammu and Kashmir.
It may be noted that Fateh Sagar had earlier in 2012 also played host to the National championships for Kayaking and Canoeing
