Udaipur's "A Billion Acts of Green" on Earth Day

“One Earth, One Chance”, would be the slogan of Udaipur tomorrow, an evening prior to the Earth Day.
Earth Day would be celebrated in the lake city on 21st April at 6pm which is a day prior to Earth Day. Various events would be organized at Gangaur Ghat to spread the awareness among Udaipurietes about Earth’s natural environment.

The event would be organized by Alok Sansthan, Alok Interact Club, Aravali Lake and Environment federation, Bharat Vikas Parishad Mewar and Rotary Club of Udaipur.

The main guest would be Dr. Ramgopal (ex director general, defense research department.), Shyam lal Kumawat (Chairman of Alok Sansthan.) and chief guests would include Rajni Dangi( Mayor of Municipal Corporation,Udaipur), N.C. Jain (Chief consrvator office of forest wildlife), L.S. Karnawat, B.L Mehta (Secretary of Rotary Club Udaipur) and S.K. Verma.

“A billion acts of green” would be the theme message to be circumvolved, along with the slogans to save lakes of the city.

“200 students of Alok Sansthan would be doing a heritage walk from Samorbag to Gangaur Ghat, and would be distributing resolution papers to amplify the responsiveness towards Earth amd its Environment. After reaching Gangaur Ghat, “Dharti Maa Kare Pukar” named Nukkad Natak (Road show) would be staged.” Pradeep Kumawat informed.

Few messages like saving water, reducing pollution and use of Polythene. Proper use of stored water from rain for irrigation, rain water harvesting, proper use of electricity, safety of lakes and plantation would be the major focus issues of the program. The whole event would be revolving around these topics.

The evening would be filled with cultural dance, songs and music programs. The broadcast of 3 important films “kal kal chal chal behti” with “Earth Song” of Michael Jackson would be an icing on the cake. “Save Planet Earth” named movie, which is directed by Pradeep Kumawat, will be shown to add sparkle in the event.

Rangoli and Poster competition would also be held.

“To save the Earth from contamination and Global Warming, Earth Day is celebrated every year by Alok Sansthan and Interact Club. This year we would celebrate it with all grandiosity.” Pradeep Kumawat stated.
