In congruence with the intention to save the planet, many organizations in Udaipur participated in the global initiative of World Wildlife Fund (WWF) ‘The Earth Hour’ by switching off the lights for an hour today. Udaipur embraced the noble movement with Sheraton Group, City Palace, Celebration Mall and Alok Sansthan switching off the lights from 8:30 PM till 9:30 PM at their respective institutions. Earlier in the day, to spread awareness about the ‘Earth Hour’, 150 cadets of 1 Raj Naval Unit NCC Udaipur took out a rally in the city from MB College Ground to Town Hall at 8:30 in the morning. The rally was flagged off by commanding officer Commander Krishna Kumar Mehta. The Earth Hour is seen on the last Saturday of March every year.
