Udaipur Municipal Corporation has started preparing for the annual Diwali Mela-2013 scheduled to start from 25^th October. A temporary stage for hosting various cultural events was installed outside Rang Manch. On the other hand members of cultural committee have finalized local artists.

Today, in UMC activities for coming up fair from 25^th to 31^st October took keen pace, where a temporary stage was installed on the proposed side outside UMC Auditorium along with required barricades. The cultural committee of UMC has finalized names of 50 local artists.

According to Hemlata Sharma, President, Cultural Committee, “Corporation received entries of around 200 local artists in both singing and dancing. The entries were further shortlisted through an Audition started from 18^th October. The panel have nominated 25 artists each for both singing and dancing.”

Rajni Dangi, Mayor, UMC along with other officials inspected work of stage preparation. UMC alike every year will also host a sparkling firework on eve of Diwali 3^rd November. Mayor also informed that entry pass for the celebrity nights would be dispersed among the corporators of various localities.
