UNESCO Chooses Udaipur to Promote Girl Education with Malala FundWith the first step of casting an eye on Rajasthan’s girl education, UNESCO has picked up Udaipur and Alwar to boost girl education. NGO ‘Unnati’ will be undertaking the onus of doing the needful in the city for the same. The mission has included those girls who are struggling to keep up with their education so that they can be exemplified.

‘Unnati’ has made 10 groups of 20 girls each amongst which 3 will be trained. These three will be representing their school and village. They will be leaving no stone unturned to spread the word about importance of education. There will be workshops organized time to time.

There has been a noteworthy rise in the overall level of education in India in last 15 years but when it comes to primary and upper primary for girls, it still has loopholes. Malala’s dream is to ensure that every should be educated till at least 12th std. The effort by UNESCO seems to be a silver lining in fulfilling the much longed dream of girl education in the country.
