Yudhh Singh Shaktawat, Secretary, MPSS said that, they welcomed tourists at Moti Magri today, guiding the tourists about the proud history and values of Mewar and Maharana Pratap.
Meanwhile, also the Hotel Association and Tourism Department, Udaipur jointly organized a program on the occasion of World Tourism Day at Hotel Vishnupriya, today at 10:30 am.A short documentary portraying the culture of Udaipur and Rajasthan as a whole was demonstrated to the audience present in the hall, by D. S. Rathore, Asst. Director, Tourism Department, Udaipur.
Later, in his speech, Rathore stressed upon the issue of giving new heights to the tourism sector and directed the Hotel Association, in order to direct the hotels of Udaipur, to primarily focus on Rajasthani themes in order to influence and attract the tourists.
According to Ambalal Bohra, in the concluding session, Rathore honored the 10 founder hotellions of the Hotel Association, Udaipur. These hotellions had been working in the field of tourism since 1970. Also, two tourist guides of the city serving since 1970 were honored.
Also, Department of Tourism & Hotel Management, Mohan Lal Sukhadia University and Department of Tourism, Govt. of Rajasthan, organized a program for “Tourism & Sustainable Energy: Powering Sustainable Development” on World Tourism Day at Vanijya Bhawan, MLSU, Udaipur.
Starting from 11 am today, the major attractions of the event were, Rangoli Making (mandana), Quiz (Tarkash), Extempore (Hallabol), poster making (Chitran), Dance (Thirkan), Skit (Manchan), Presentation and Debate.
