Visually impaired children swimming? It’s amazing

They cannot see…they are visually impaired. But their determination makes them achieve their goals. This was proved in a swimming competition held for the visually impaired kids by the District Swimming Association. The competition was held in the BN College swimming pool which left the people wondering. The children displayed an amazing swimming talent and became the center of attraction.

A number of kids are learning to swim in the BN college swimming pool this summer. Competitions are to be held very soon, but this one particular competition held for the visually impaired caught everyone’s eye. District Swimming Association, Samidha Sangh and Pragya Chakshu School for the visually impaired collaborated for this swimming competition. 10 children who have not been blessed with eye sight participated in this competition. These children displayed their enthusiasm for winning this competition the moment they hit the pool. Parents and other school children present on the occasion encouraged these kids and were keen to see how these kids exhibited their swimming calibre. Sohan Lal of 10th standard and Fateh Lal of 9th standard bagged the 1st and 2nd position respectively. They even said that they can display their talents if such events are held regularly. Until now they had been swimming in the wells and bavdis of the village. They were very excited to step into a swimming pool for the first time. They even spoke about their desire to participate in swimming competitions on National level.

 ALL THE VERY BEST, KIDS!!
