Inauguration of the two day water sport event will be organized on Thursday, August 11 at 11:00 am at Fateh Sagar Lake. This first ever Water Sports competition in Udaipur is initiated to encourage adventure sports on the beautiful lakes of Udaipur.

On the first day, the inauguration ceremony will be conducted by chief guests Prof I.V Trivedi -Vice Chancellor of M.L.S.U and Prof. Madhusudan Sharma -Chairman -USB, MLSU.

The event will comprise of two water sports; Wakeboard Surfing and Banana Towable Boating and teams of students from MLSU will compete in the sports.

Preparations and training sessions are going on to make event a successful one; all participants are going through ability tests which are being conducted at the swimming pool of B.N College.

The two examinations to test the abilities of the participating individuals include, swimming continuously for 100-200meters and the second test is cycling under water for a decided time period to test their respiratory endurance.

Participants passing both the tests will be qualifying for the competition. All regular college students of M.L.S.U including PG and PhD are allowed to participate.

D.S Chauhan -Secretary of University Sports Board said “We have taken appropriate security measures to avoid any mishap, there will be 2 rescue divers from municipal council and 5 adventure sports experts from regional sports council”.

The organizer of the event is an Udaipur based boating company Dolphin Re-creations; the company is taking all possible measures to make it a thriving event.

Ajay Bajaj of Dolphin re creations will guide the participants before the competition; the teams will also be given demo by the company.

According to the sources, the event will continue in case of low rainfall like drizzling but in case of heavy rainfall, the event might get postponed.
