A photo exhibition was organized today at Information Centre (Suchna Kendra) Wildlife Department to showcase nature and wildlife photography by 40 photographers of Talon Nature Photography Club on an occasion of ongoing Wildlife Week.

A photo exhibition was organized today at Information Centre (Suchna Kendra) Wildlife Department to showcase nature and wildlife photography by 40 photographers of Talon Nature Photography Club on an occasion of ongoing Wildlife Week.

A total of 100 photographs, taken in a circumference of 100 km around Udaipur, were displayed in this exhibition.

This Exhibition was inaugurated by N.C. Jain, (CCF. WL) Director of the program.

Nature Photograph Exhibition was coordinated by Amit Gupta (Director Talon Nature Photography Club), with the help of Sharad Agrawal, Rishi Raj Singh, Vijay Sawnani and other photographers.

Exhibition will be open for the visitors from October 7, 11 am till 6 pm. Organizers also informed that every evening, from 4:30 till 5:30, a photography workshop will also be organized at the exhibition hall.

Events of the Wildlife Week and Cyclothon; Awards worth Rs. 5 lacs to be Distributed

N C Jain, Chief Conservator of Forests and Wildlife, Udaipur informed that on the last day of wildlife week i.e. on October 7, Cycle Marathon – “Udaipur Cyclothon and Walk for Nature 2012” will be organized in association with Pacific University.

He said that anyone in the age group of 15 to 60 years can participate in this event. Winners will be awarded attractive prizes which include 200 cycles and 3 days-2 nights or 2 days-1 night free family nature holiday, worth Rs. 5 lacs.

He also said that more than 1000 people have already registered themselves for this event. Registration will be done till October 6. Since this is not a competition, winners will be decided through the lottery system on Oct 6, 6:30 pm at Fatehsagar, overflow area.

Wildlife Photo Exhibition Starts at Information CenterThis walk will start from Mohanlal Sukhadiya University (MLSU) and will conclude also at MLSU covering 10.5 km (Quarter Marathon) and 5.25 km (Mini Walk).

According to N.C. Jain, the Cyclothon program is totally “Eco-Friendly” in which fruit juices and organic breakfast will be served to the participants, the program will be “Polythene and Plastic Free”, he said that we are giving prizes in a manner for the family to enjoy the nature trail not for the single individual so that the whole family can enjoy and come close to the nature.

He added that “we are targeting 100% participation of the public, we are not limiting the program to schools and colleges but the program is on a vast scale with full participation of the Udaipurites and dignitaries like Gulabchand Kataria(MLA), Raghuveer Meena (MP), Both Ex and Present District Collectors, Hemat Gera and Vikas S. Bhale, T.C. Damor (I.G- Udaipur Range Police), Hari Prasad Sharma (S.P- City), many other IAS, RAS officers and all the Officials of the Forest Department, Rajni Dangi, Chairman- Municipal Corporation Udaipur were requested and they agreed to participate in a first of its kind event.”
