On tenth day after Holi celebration, married women today worshiped Dasha Mata and were seen performing the ritual around Peepal Trees.

The goddess Dasha Mata is believed to bring prosperity in the family. Women devotees also observe fast for ten days which ends after the prayer. The prayer starts early in the morning.

Over the ten days of fasting, devotees also recite Dasmaa stories which are nine in number, whereas story of ‘Naldamayanti’ is narrated twice. Traditionally women don’t consume any food before reciting the stories.
