The Jagdish Mandir Rath Samiti organized a Donation Programe today in the temple premises.The event is a part of a 22-year long tradition where ‘Ann-daan’ is organized by the samiti and anyone can donate in the event. 

500 kids were provided Woolen wears and School bags. Later a lunch was also organized for all.

The event is organized every year on Makar Sakranti. Many guests including Phool Singh Meena, Daamodar Diwakar, Purushottam ‘Pallav’, Ghanshyam Chaval and all committee members participated in the event.

Meanwhile, Makar Sakranti was celebrated with a lot of fanfare across the city. Makar Sankranti marks the entry of Sun in Capricorn and signifies the onset of the harvest season and arrival of spring. Various cultural events were organized on the occasion and people were seen enjoying traditional games like ‘sitolia’ and ‘mardari’ on the street.
