Workshop Held on Sharing Well Being and Re-Defining Food

A Workshop on community kitchens promoting environment conservation was organized by the forest department, Udaipur at Vigyan Samiti.  Rene Fuareez, Naturalist from Canada addressed the workshop and stressed on organic and vegetarian food.

In this workshop, titled Sharing Well Being and Re-Defining Food held at Vigyan Samiti today evening, a presentation was given by Rene where the members discussed about healthy eating habits and explained the benefits of Organic food.

All of the approximately 75 individuals from various communities, were served organic food prepared by Rene, included Sprout Cutlet, Green Coconut Chutney and Raw Vegetable Laddu after the workshop.

Dr. N.C Jain, Chief Forest Officer informed that Rene is a Naturalist and is observing nature change from past 7 years including eating habits.

Dr. Jain said “The food served to all was prepared by Rene and was appreciated.  The participants suggested holding such events on a regular basis”.
