World Red Cross Day is an annual celebration of the principles of International Red Cross Movement. It is celebrated on 8^th May every year.

Udaipur city is going to celebrate World Red Cross Day on 8^th May under which many programmes will follow. Collector Mallick finalised the activities of Red Cross Committee on Wednesday for celebrating this day.

On the morning of 8^th May, students of Maharana Mewar Public School and Bulbuls will present an awareness programme in Red Cross Bhawan, Hiran magri Sector 5 at 9 a.m. Gajendra Bhansali of Red Cross Society informed that teachers will be imparted training on first aid and effects of deficiency of iron and folic acids in Vidhya Bhawan Teachers Training College from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Carry bags will be distributed to public and Red Cross members from Geetanjali Nursing College will be donating blood on this day. Vice President of Red Cross Society Dr. RC Mehta and Nakshatra Talesra were also present in the meeting.
