Around 200 young enthusiastic singers and dancers lined up today in high spirits to win the first of its kind- X Factor – Udaipur. The first and only round of auditions held at Alok School today. Perfect Events and Entertainment, organizer of the event in collaboration with Pacific University, Gyanesh Builders and Sunrise Group of Institutions is conducting a talent search competition based on the lines of the popular television show X- factor. The auditions for the competitions which include best singer, best dancer and the best couple on the ramp, took place today morning at the auditorium of Alok School Panchwati. A total of about 200 people participated in the auditions. The judges for the singing talent search event- Madhusudan Vaishnav and Neetu singh- short listed 15 individuals from among these who came up for the auditions. Similarly 15 individuals were selected for the dance competition by- Namrata Chouhan and Dr. Ritu Vaishnav. 12 couples for the ramp show were also selected at the auditions. The finals of the X-factor, Udaipur will be held at Sukhadia Rang Manch on the 16 ^th of July 2011 from 6 PM onwards. Entry for the event will be through free passes. The winners of the talent search event, from each category will be awarded with cash prizes of Rs. 5001, 3001 and 2001 for the 1 ^st, 2nd and 3 ^rd positions respectively.
