Utkarsh-2016, the annual fest of MPUAT was put to an end at Vivekanand Auditorium. The chief guests included Vice Chancellor of MPUAT Prof. Uma Shankar Sharma and Akhilesh Joshi CEO of Vedanta group and K. K. Sharma of Vipra Foundation.

There were many dance and song competitions held. Punjabi, Bihu, Gujrati and Marathi. Dance performances made the audience tap their feet on the floor. Uma Shankar Sharma told the importance of overall development of students. He also appreciated the initiative of Vedanta group by giving scholarship of Rs.50000 to CTAE students.

Akhilesh Joshi congratulated top 100 CTAE and also announced the placement of mining department. Athletics championship was given to CTAE in males and to home science in females. CTAE team got awards in badminton, basketball, football, volleyball, chess and table tennis.
