National Divyang Art Fair in City From March 21

The 10-day 25th National Divyang Art Fair will begin at the Nagar Nigam Town Hall from March 21; entry will be free, timing 11:00 am to 9:00 pm

Udaipur, March 21, 2025 – The 25th National Divyang Art Fair will begin today at the Nagar Nigam Town Hall in the city from today and will continue until  March 30. It has been organised by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment's Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Government of India.

The event aims to offer a large platform for marketing and showcasing products and skills created by persons with disabilities.

The fair is being hosted by the National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC). Naveen Shah, CMD of NHFDC, informed that this event is being held for the second time in Rajasthan (following the sixth edition in Jaipur in 2023) and for the first time in Udaipur. Since its inception in 2022, the Divyang Art Fair has seen 24 editions across the country.

Rajasthan Governor Haribhai Kishanrao Bagde and Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale will be present at the inauguration at around 4:00 pm today.

Shah mentioned that the 10-day fair will showcase more than 100 products and craftsmanship of disabled entrepreneurs/craftspeople from across the country. There will be a wide variety of handmade crafts, handloom, embroidery work, packaged foods, and other products representing diverse regions of India.

The fair will also host a series of cultural programmes, with performances from professional artists. On March 30, a grand cultural event Divyang Kala Shakti which will feature disabled artists from different parts of the country.

Entry to the Divyang Art Fair will be free and it will be open from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm.
