Amrita Haat Concludes; Sales Cross Rs 29 Lakh
The Amrita Haat fair at Gandhi Ground in Udaipur concluded with a grand ceremony; outstanding women SHGs were honoured for their exemplary work
Udaipur, Feb 25, 2026 - The closing ceremony of Udaipur’s Amrita Haat Fair was attended by District Council chief Mamta Kunwar along with a large number of public representatives and other officials. All guests were given a traditional welcome by Deputy Director of Women Empowerment Sanjay Joshi who also shared details about the fair in his welcome address.
Mamta Kunwar described Amrita Haat Fair an important initiative toward economically empowering women Self-Help Groups (SHGs). Outstanding women SHGs were also honoured for their exemplary work.
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary of District Legal Services Authority Udaipur, Kuldeep Sharma appealed to women to contact the District Legal Services Authority for awareness of their legal rights and to avail free assistance.
Joint Director of the Statistics Department Puneet Sharma elaborated on the theme of “Udaipur Panch Gaurav” highlighting key prides of Udaipur as the Fateh Sagar and Pichola lakes, marble and granite, mahua, custard apple and swimming.
The fair recorded total sales exceeding Rs 29 lakh.
A lottery draw was conducted for customers who made purchases above Rs 1,000. Winners included Vidushi, Birjiyas Fatima, Meenu, Prerna Kohta, Hemlata, Gajendra, Jitendra, Taruna Lohar, Hansa and Alsi Kant Bhatt who were awarded prizes by the guests.
