The Art Gallery of the West Zone Cultural Center will showcase the painting exhibition of the talented artist from Ahmedabad, Mohd. Asif Usman Ghani Mandalawala. The speaking & hearing impaired artist has titled his paintings as ‘Language of Art.’

 

Artist without Voice speaks with his Paintings

The Art Gallery of the West Zone Cultural Center will showcase the painting exhibition of the talented artist from Ahmedabad, Mohd. Asif Usman Ghani Mandalawala. The speaking & hearing impaired artist has titled his paintings as ‘Language of Art.’

The exhibition commencing from 1st February will be inaugurated by Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari at 4, in the evening. The 33 year old skillful artist is deprived of the ability to speak and hear, yet is gifted with the flair of adding life to the canvas. His love for art supersedes his condition.

Brother of Asif, Mohd Parvez says that since childhood, Asif used to draw on the walls. His mother motivated him to polish his skills. Without any formal training in painting, this is a god-gifted talent that he possesses.

Mohd Asif has studied till 7th standard and paints based on his creativity and imagination. His paintings depict folk artistry and nature. He has organized many solo and group shows.
