10 eminent artists from across India are preparing their artwork at Hotel Radisson Blu under the ongoing National Contemporary Art Camp organized by Kala Mitra Sangam and Hotel Radisson Blu.

10 eminent artists from across India are preparing their artwork at Hotel Radisson Blu under the ongoing National Contemporary Art Camp organized by Kala Mitra Sangam and Hotel Radisson Blu.

The event begins on 8th Dec and will conclude on 15th Dec with an exhibition at the Hotel premises.

B.R Bhati (Special Office & Regional Head) Center for Cultural Resources and Training (Ministry of Culture Govt of India) an art aficionado is heading the symposium.

Bhati informed that out of 10 artists participating, three of them are from Udaipur which includes Dinesh Kothari, Abbas Batliwala and Naseem Ahmed.

Dinesh Kothari was former commissioner of Udaipur Municipal Corporation and presently holding position of Estate Officer of Temple Board, Nathdwara.

The other artists are K.K Gandhi (Jammu & Kashmir), Mahendra Kadia (Gujarat), Anjani Reddy (Andhra Pradesh), Virendra Shah (Karnataka), Anupkumar Chand (Orissa), Hemang Dave (Gujarat) and Deepak Sonar (Maharashtra).

B.R Bhati who was former ADM of Udaipur is known for promoting artists and their artwork. Under his leadership, Udaipur has witnessed International Monumental Stone Sculpture Symposium in 2013. He has also organized many exhibitions and art camps etc.

“We want Udaipur to be known as an Art City. Udaipur district is blessed with multiple arts and number of artists. By providing a platform to them, we try to promote their skills” said B.R Bhati.

When asked about future prospects, Bhati said, “We are planning to do some exhibitions and workshop for photographers. There are few creative things for handicraft art too which is in pipeline”.

Pushpendra Parmar, coordinator of the symposium informed that all the participating artists are specialists in their own form of arts, like Dinesh Kothari draws Abstract while Anjani Reddy’s art revolves around women, nature and beauty. The work of Mahendra Kadia is diverse with more bright colors, said Parmar.

While describing about art, Dinesh Kothari said, “We all are artists; Humans have learned art before reading and writing. Art is always the best medium of expression and even communication.”

“I work on canvas, acrylic and even Murals” said Kothari.

Anjani Reddy who is a retired professor and HoD of Painting College of Fine Arts, JNFAU Hyderabad said, “I enjoy life because Art is both my passion and profession. I always paint what I want to see and I am always fond of nature, its innumerous beauty and creation.”
