Diwali mela is one of the most awaited fairs in any city. Udaipur public can rejoice because Diwali mela will be held for 15 days this year.

The shopping and cultural evening can be enjoyed from 28^th October, 2018. Diwali mela will be held in Town Hall grounds for a period of 15 days. Cultural evenings will be held for 8 days. Last year the mela was held for 13 days and cultural evenings for 7 days. Dates for the mela were finalised in a meeting held with the Cultural committee in the presence of Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari on Friday. As informed by the committee president, the mela will have a variety of stalls, fun zone for kids and food stalls as well.

This year the mela is being held during the election season. There are all the probabilities that there will be no public representative available for the inauguration of the mela and no political party leader will be there to address the public during cultural evenings.
