An exhibition showcasing exhibits from artisans from the North East region is currently ongoing at the Lakeway estate on Saheli Marg.

As per the details received, handicraft work from Manipur artisans including Manipuri cotton and silk sarees, Naga shawl and jacket are on display.

Flower pots made from bamboo cane, fruit tray, traditional moga silk, cotton saree, traditional mekhla two-piece saree, paat silk, jute mat, tiffin cover, tea, cane furniture and bamboo fan have been put on display by the Assamese artisans.

Dry flower pot from Nagaland, Woolen cap, stalls and handmade hand and leg gloves are other attractions.

West Bengal specialities put for display include cane mattress, hand bag, purse, handle purse, jute bag, khadi shirt, banarsi saree, bhagalpur dress material, salwar suit and silk saree.

Bamboo basket and lamps from Tripura are also been well appreciated during the exhibition.
