Under patronage of National Academy of Fine Arts and Udaipur Municipal Corporation, a five day work shop on painting is being conducted from 25 Sept till 29 Sept.  The work shop is being held at Udaipur city Municipal Community Hall, Govardhan Vilas.

It was inaugurated by mayor Chandra Singh Kothari in presence of B P Bhatnagar, former Vice Chancellor. Other guests included Prof. Suresh Sharma, Prof. L L Verma, Prof. Shail Choyal, Dr. Mohan Shrimali,  A C Damani, ex-RAS B R Bhati and Manik Arya.

This camp cum workshop is being coordinated by Dinesh Kothari, former RAS and a noted artist. The vote of thanks on opening of this work shop was delivered by Mahesh Dave, the local representative of UMC.  Participating artists include Prof. Basant Kashyap, Dinesh Kothari, Naseem Ahmed, Dr Jagdish Kumawat, Dr Dharmveer Vasishth, Hemant Chitrakaar, Pushkar Lohar, Dinesh Upadhyay and Nirmal Yadaav.

Paintings drawn by the participating artists shall be exhibited for public in UMC on Monday, 30 September. It may be noted that under patronage of UMC and Mayor Chandrsingh Kothari, this is the first such work shop in Udaipur. The mayor assured that this workshop and exhibition will be organized by UMC next year as well.
