A series of awareness programs and activities have been planned by Psychiatry Department, Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) as part of the World Mental Health Week from 4th to 10th October. On the first day today, an exhibition on Mental Health was held at campus.

A series of awareness programs and activities have been planned by Psychiatry Department, Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital (GMCH)  as part of the World Mental Health Week from 4th to 10th October. On the first day today, an exhibition on Mental Health was held at campus.
Ankit Agarwal, Chief Administrative Officer of GMCH and Dr F. S Mehta, Dean of the college inaugurated the exhibition. Dr. D.M Mathur, HoD of Psychiatry Department informed that the exhibition is a way informing masses about mental illness and its cure. Dr Mathur has also threw light on mental illness like Schizophrenia, Depression, Bipolar Disorder etc.
Giving details about the upcoming days, Dr Jitendra Jinger informed that a Senior Citizen Awareness Program has been planned on 5th Oct, Mental Health Awareness Rally on 7th Oct, Seminar on Mental Health on 8th Oct, address to students of Government College, Manvakheda on 9th Oct and Discussion on Mental Illness and law by Judge Ramchandra Singh Jhala on 10th Oct.
