Painting exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi at Bagore ki Haveli

West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC) is organizing a 4 day exhibition showcasing the life and key events from life of Mahatma Gandhi. This is part of the nationwide celebrations to commemorate 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The exhibition started today at Bagore ki Haveli and will run through till Saturday.

Furkan Khan, Centre Director, WZCC informed that they had organised a painting competition in Jaipur in association with Gurukul Vidyapeeth, Gujarat and Rajasthan Lalit Kala Academy. Both established and upcoming artists from around the country had participated in the competition. The paintings on display at Bagore ki Haveli are the ones that were painted in this competition.

Khan said that the paintings showcased key events from Bapu’s life including Dandi march, his depiction with Charkha and other memorable moments.
