Parwaaz: Painting Exhibition of 6 Artists from Lucknow

The 'Parwaaz' of 6 artists from Lucknow is adorning the walls of West Zone Cultural Center’s Art Gallery. Paintings made of water colors & acrylic, 27 graphic prints made with the techniques of lithography, woodcut, etching and aquatint and 5 terracotta and metal sculptures are put on display.

The ‘Parwaaz’ of 6 artists from Lucknow is adorning the walls of West Zone Cultural Center’s Art Gallery. Paintings made of water colors & acrylic, 27 graphic prints made with the techniques of lithography, woodcut, etching and aquatint and 5 terracotta and metal sculptures are put on display.

Eminent Painter Dr. Shail Choyal inaugurated the exhibition. Director of WZCC Furkan Khan, Painter Chotulal and Surjeet Choyal were also present.

Painter & print maker Sanjay Raj, Karan Sawnani, Sandeep Rajput, Shalini Rana and sculptor Dheeraj Mangyani and Vibhavari Singh’s art works are put on display. Sanjay, Karan, Sandeep, Shalini and Dheeraj are students of Leela Art Faculty, Lucknow University. Vibhavari is the assistant professor in the university.

Young artist Sanjay has etched the changes in the nature and daily life whereas Sandeep projected changes through children and animals in prints. Karan’s prints are inspired by socialism & new technology. Shalini through her graphic prints has tried to depict the relation of animal’s feelings in context to humans along with addictions and habits.

In sculptures, Dheeraj has portrayed the power of how a pen can influence the life of a human. Karan’s water colored landscape has also been kept for display.
