Philately Exhibition Showcases Circa 1852 Rarities
A three day Exhibition of Postal Stamps began today in the Information Center (Suchna Kendra) at Chetak. The Fourth District Level Philately Exhibition organized by Postal Department, displays some rare collection of stamps and coins, few among them as old as 1852.

The Fourth District Level Philately Exhibition organized by Postal Department, displays some rare collection of stamps and coins, few among them as old as 1852. Around 12 Senior and 5 Junior Post Masters are participating in the Exhibition.
According to Chief Organizer, Jaswant Singh Rathod of the Postal Department, a special edition Postal Stamp of the City Palace was introduced at the Inaugural Ceremony held earlier this morning. This edition consists of stamps embossed with emblems used across the Custodian chain of the City Palace.
He further added that over the three day period, 245 Stamp Sheets and 109 Stamp Sheets will be displayed by the Senior and Junior Post Masters of the division respectively. Apart from this a few coins of both Pre and Post independent India are also displayed.
On 2nd March, a painting competition will be organized for both junior and senior kid groups at the venue. A special edition of Bhamashah Stamps will also be displayed.
