Udaipur, June 21, 2025 – A two-day solo painting exhibition entitled "Becoming Light" by Sheena Chawla from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, was officially inaugurated on June 20 at Bagore Ki Haveli at Gangaur Ghat. The exhibition was opened by Shraddha Muradia, founder of Kashti Foundation, sculptor Hemant Joshi and Hemant Mehta, programme executive at the West Zone Cultural Centre.

Several art enthusiasts were present at the openng, including Pawan Amarawat (the Centre's Deputy Director, Programmes), Durgesh Chandwani (Assistant Director, Finance & Accounts), CL Salvi, Sunil Nimawat, Siddhant Bhatnagar and Deepak Navlakha. Art lovers Nilofar and Sharmila Rathore also attended the exhibition.

This exhibition showcases a deeply personal collection of 35 abstract paintings by Chawla, exploring a journey of healing, liberation and inner return. For Chawla, abstract art is more than just a medium; it is a sacred space for vulnerability. Her style, which she describes as "intuitive abstract composition", emerges from instinct and is guided more by emotion than formal technique.

The exhibition will conclude today, June 21, at 5:00 pm.
