Two-Day Panch Gaurav Fair Begins at Fateh Sagar
A two-day Panch Gaurav Fair begins at Fateh Sagar Lake in Udaipur featuring exhibitions on marble, sitaphal, Mahua, swimming and tourism; activities include competitions, walkathon, kayaking and food stalls
Udaipur, March 5, 2026 - Under the Panch Gaurav initiative launched by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma to promote the heritage and ecology of every district in the State, innovative activities are being organised in Udaipur under the guidance of District Collector Namit Mehta.
A two-day district-Level Panch Gaurav Fair and Exhibition will begin on Thursday (March 5) on the Fateh Sagar promenade.
Puneet Sharma, Secretary of the Panch Gaurav Programme Implementation, said the fair and exhibition will be held near Taya Palace and is to be inaugurated on Thursday at 3:00 pm.
Panch Gaurav themes of Udaipur district will be highlighted including:
- One District One Product: Marble & Granite
- One Produce: Custard Apple (sitaphal)
- One Plant Species: Mahua
- One Sport: Swimming
- Tourism Sites: Fateh Sagar and Lake Pichola
About 15 stalls have been set up at the venue where various departments will showcase promotional materials, models and products related to the Panch Gaurav themes. The District Industries and Commerce Centre will also hold a Stone Mart.
The fair will feature several attractions including a food court plus poster-making competitions, quizzes and cultural programmes organised by the Panch Gaurav Literacy Club.
On March 6, a walkathon and kayaking–canoeing events will be conducted.
