Brew up your senses….sometimes
Udaipur...a peaceful town in the west of Rajasthan, famous by the name of “City of Lakes” is a place where people from almost a lot of places swear to spend their post-retirement life. And why not?The city with its most calm and safe entertainment areas as compared to other cities in Rajasthan is loved for its “freak-out” centres like Fatehsagar, Gangaur ghat, Pichola lakeside, Moti Magri and Sukhadia Circle to name a few. The most interesting part here is the upcoming variety of coffee centres. Some are very common names and some are not
Udaipur…a peaceful town in the west of Rajasthan, famous by the name of “City of Lakes” is a place where people from almost a lot of places swear to spend their post-retirement life. Some are very common names and some are not.
Cafe Coffee Day is a well known brand in the range of coffee. A place where you can smell coffee the moment you enter and feel your senses “coffeed” enough to take a plunge even when you are on a full stomach. Located in approachable places like Saheli nagar and opposite Garden Hotel, you can find college crowd, tourists, school kids for birthday celebrations and/or dating couples on their coffee date. Well, what more could anyone ask for other than a hot, stylish and well blended coffee?
Another one on the Saheli Nagar road is Brewmen. Serving coffee and a variety of snacks after a good survey of people’s demands, it is run by three young gentlemen who wanted to create a difference and established this place to spread smiles.
The not so known to public is Chillex- the Cafe, in Sahiwalon ki Ghati in Bhatiyani chohatta. But the coffee here is amazing. Though parking in that lane is a pain as four wheelers cannot be parked , the taste of coffee is worth walking up that place for those who really love coffee.
Try The Jheel Ginger Bakery and Restaurant on the banks of the Pichola…getting there is a bit cumbersome on a four wheel, but if you are riding a 2/w or just walking across the walled area, then try it. Its got some awesome Coffee and great walnut cakes.
Not to forget the small local “thadis” here and there in the town where just anyone goes to spend lazy hours and those who go to simply flare up the nostrils with the aroma actually end up having coffee. A lot many places like fatehsagar chowpati or outside townhall, some breakfast centre or a mithai shop, urge for coffee makes you ask for it the way people desire fresh air.
Since coffee is not just coffee, it is “Coffee” with a capital C…do give your senses a lift and have it anywhere you like. Just make sure you don’t overdo it.
