Cafeteria at Sajjangarh – A perfect reason to rejoice
Sajjangarh fort will now have a cafeteria which is a perfect reason to rejoice.
Sajjangarh fort at hilltop is the old time residential palace of Udaipur. Overlooking Fatehsagar Lake, it provides the most magnificent view of the city.
Any tourist coming to Udaipur does an incomplete visit if he doesn’t see the beauty of this fort. Until now, various positive feedbacks have been given about this place. The way this huge fort allures gets the highest ranking about its presence on the hilltop.
The only negative point was that there was no eating joint at the fort which was criticized by tourists as well as local public. Since this place also known as Monsoon palace, for the valid reasons behind its presence on the hill, is a breath-taking sight during the rainy season, local public also visits this place to enjoy the rains and the clouds covering the fort.
Absence of an eating joint was felt by everyone until now. The good news for all is that this magnificent place now sports a cafeteria, a step taken by the forest department. This cafeteria will be taken care of by Chunda Palace. Chief Conservator of Forests (Wild Life) Rahul Bhatnagar informed that the rates for tea, coffee and water will be decided by the forest department. Clearing the place from plastic and other waste will be the responsibility of the firm in charge of cafeteria.
Years back, there used to be a cafeteria that was closed down due to certain restrictions as per rules of forest department. Forest department needs to take permission from Government’s Wildlife department for operating a cafe. Now that an approval has been granted, a cafeteria will soon cater to the needs of local public and tourists which is sure to increase the graph of positive reviews.
