We happened to be there today.

The reception stands high on a well lit stage and faces the door to the Discotheque , which by the way, is marvelous.

Chirag Mehta and Ashok Jangid manage and own the place respectively with a circle of close friends and have planned a grand launch for the opening of the Volcano, though operations have already started on 11th March. The shack is divided in to three parts – the Disc, the Restaurant and the Hukka Lounge.

[Food Review] Have a Blast at the Volcano! The disc has a capacity of 65 patrons dancing together. It has a wonderful sound system and an appreciable set of disco lights. They charge Rs 2,000 per hour and loosen up if you negotiate.

The Restaurant is pure vegetarian, though not providing many services right now and the Hukka Lounge is receiving good responses.

Their menu is still in the designing stage while they’re experimenting with the food. So it’ll be a while until they provide a full fledged meal.

Side note: Their Pizzas are incredible. To start off with our meal, we had Soup and Paneer Chilli for starters.

Sweet Corn Soup [Food Review] Have a Blast at the Volcano!

Exceeded expectations with really soft corn and thick charming gravy. Excess of corn as well. No complains though.

Paneer Chilli

Paneer is always a tricky thing to handle and this one was disappointing. The paneer was a bit sticky and wasn’t squishy enough. Was maybe a victim of bad supplies?

Volcano prepares its own thin crust pizza bases and believe me they’re awesome. We ordered two of them with with mocktails to wash the meal down.

GuavaSutra

That’s what you read. This was the only drink available among plenty of choices. The drink was a bit too sweet for the taste buds but had a generous amount of pulp.

Cheese Pizza [Food Review] Have a Blast at the Volcano!

This is a pizza prepared by four types of cheese, Amul Cheese, Cheddar, Parmesan and Mozzarella. Not surprising though, the pizza was excellent! The fat layer of melted cheese and the thin crust made our day. We loved it to the core.

Italian Pizza

By this time, we knew what to expect and we got it. This was also an equally delicious pizza topped with Olives, Baby Corn, Mushrooms and their sauce.

The Bill we were charged was a moderate Rs 480 with drinks going expensive at Rs 80 and pizzas really reasonable at Rs 100.

I don’t think anyone can not like their pizzas!

Try them out once, and you’ll not regret. Stay alarmed for youngsters’ crowd though, there’s the Hukka Lounge and the Disc, but be assured as they have a policy of Hukkas not being allowed in the restaurant.

To the regular readers, I’m sorry but they don’t seem to have a Facebook page or a website yet. They’re new. So I couldn’t share them. Though keep watching out.
