A vegetable sandwich with coconut chutney is nothing exceptional, but what if the bread is made by local grain “maal” and vegetables stuffed inside are all organic? Now that’s something rare for most of us whose maximum diet consists of high calories junk food.

Mihir Bhardwaj, an entrepreneur from Ahmedabad was there to attend this food fest. In a short conversation with us Mihir said that, “I have seen in Rajasthan people still prefer traditional food, after all we inherit values from our forefathers and we still remember that taste in our taste buds. I am a big organic food aficionado; I think we should adopt it as a habit and give up an addiction of fast food.”

Manish Jain from Shikshantar who always promoted healthy living and environment friendly life is one of the main people behind this food fest. Manish is always energetic and confident about his work. He said that organic food which we are serving here are future of fast food chains like McDonald’s, if they don’t adopt this, they will be no more. Have a look in America; they have already started serving 3-4 types of salads with every dish they serve.

Today, when the world has progressed tremendously in every field because of the boons of science and elevated technology when we look at the other side we can observe the high price we are paying for it. Talking about health we have always seen that if a person is health conscious he avoids junk food and includes in his diet more and more natural food which is ultimately nothing but “ fresh fruits, vegetables , and cereals.”

But unfortunately the word “fresh” has lost its existence when the green revolution came up in earlier 20th century and what the world is left with is only the food grown which involve modern synthetic inputs like insect repellent and chemical fertilizers, and do not contain genetically customized organisms, and are not processed using irradiation, industrial solvents, or chemical food additives. So, the question which comes up is, “where to get healthy, nature enriched food from?”

The answer to this question is “Organic Food”.
