Opening Soon: First Chinese Specialty Restaurant in Udaipur

To fill the huge vacuum and tap the potential of specialty restaurants in Udaipur, House of Ming – the authentic Chinese restaurant and takeaway is launching shortly with their series of flavors and recipes for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian tastes. The restaurant will be operated and managed under the banner of Biryani House Restaurant; House of Ming is situated close to Le Cakery at Chetak Circle. “The restaurant is based on the Yin-Yang concept from the designing to the serving”, says Sohan Singh Bhati, one of the owners of Biryani House.

The restaurant will be operated and managed under the banner of Biryani House Restaurant; House of Ming is situated close to Le Cakery at Chetak Circle. “The restaurant is based on the Yin-Yang concept from the designing to the serving”, says Sohan Singh Bhati, one of the owners of Biryani House.

“Out the 5 main cuisines of China, House of Ming will be concentrating on two of them: Schezwan and Hunan, which are a fusion of sweet, sour and hot flavors. The restaurant will keep switching the cuisines every 3 months to give a taste of every Chinese cuisine,” he said while having a short conversation with UT.

Sohan Singh also informed, “We are starting on a small experimental just to observe and gauge the response. However we are very confident about its success, whereas on the basis of the output, we can think further on introducing all recipes together.”

The concept of starting a Chinese restaurant in Udaipur was dreamt of by Sohan Singh, since when he was working at a Chinese restaurant in New Delhi, years ago.

The menu of the House of Ming will offer 35 varieties including starters, main course, rice and noodles in the exotic essences of Schezwan and Hunan. Few distinct dishes that will also be available at the restaurant are crispy lamb, golden fried pawns and a range of momos, at a nominal price range.

The Chef of House of Ming is a specialist in Chinese cooking and has worked in many renowned hotels and restaurants of Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi.
