Udaipuri , the city’s very own food joint, showcased Rajasthan cuisine at the two day Masalas of India  – Regional Food Fest powered by Maggi.

Restaurants from across the India participated in the fest, with Udaipuri taking up the mantle for Rajasthan, showcasing, among the other delicacies, the more famous varieties like Daal Baati Gulab Patti Choorma, Gatte ka Saag and Palak Pakodi Chaat.

Vimal Dhar, owner of Innovating Hospitality, the chain that operates Udaipuri , was present at the occasion and interacted with the visitors taking them through the amazing recipes available at the Udaipuri counter.  Vimal, in his interaction with UdaipurTimes, had this to day, “It is a proud moment for Udaipuri and Udaipur to be invited for the prestigious event “Masalas of india”.  Different brands from across the country have participated and it was a great event for us to interact and present exquisite food from our part of the country.  The platform was big…as Nestle was the lead sponsor where they too introduced 3 new varieties of Maggi.

Other cuisines, such as those from Goa, Bengal, Punjab, Kashmir as well as from the North East, made their presence felt at the event.  Ahad Sons restaurant showcased Kashmiri cuisine, Mr Littiwala had their stall to promote the special Bihari Litti-Chokha while the quintessential  Maharashtra delicacies like dabeli, missal pav, bhel puri and other Manglorean fare was presented by Desee Dakshin.
