non-veg food lovers, if you are not, I advise you to skip reading this article further. I am the only non-vegetarian in our Udaipur Times team. I love it and more, I love to write about it. Last week, I was in Parkview Restaurant. It is one of the oldest multi cuisine restaurants in Udaipur which serves Mughlai, Chinese and Indian delicacies since last 40 years. I was accompanied with my family; we planned having something different than traditional gravy and roti. So we’d ended up ordering everything in dry /barbequed form. We Ordered: 1. Chicken Tandoori 2. Chicken Chilly boneless 3. Chicken Lollipop 4. Green Salad 5. Aerated Water Review-Non-veg in Parkview Restaurant Chicken Tandoori: I am a big time fan of this famous Indian delights, almost everywhere I visited in India, I tasted chicken tandoori, they all have same way to prepare it but still the taste varies according to the location. In Rajasthan, Chicken Tandoori is always preferred spicier and should be baked under traditional tandoor. Unfortunately Parkview did not impress me with it. Though it looks well baked, juicy and spicy but inside it was not so well roasted. Secondly, the whole meat was so less in quantity which again disappointed me. I really didn’t like it. They did one more mistake on service part. I asked them to serve everything together but they forgot. They brought chicken tandoori after serving us other two orders. Nor they used traditional tandoor to prepare chicken; it was very less marinated, simply tasteless.

Review-Non-veg in Parkview Restaurant Chicken Chilly: Indian Chinese is very dissimilar than the original Chinese food. We have more Indian spices and herbs added in Chinese food. Chicken chilly is one favorite dish I prefer eating dry. Here, Parkview served with their preparation of almost perfect Indian/Chinese chicken chilly. It was well cooked and juicy, over all the quantity was also not that bad, the sauce was perfectly made giving that taste which I was looking for since long, in Udaipur. Though, the quantity of capsicum was less than onions in it, which I don’t like. Still, I will give 7 out of 10 to Parkview’s chicken chilly.

Review-Non-veg in Parkview Restaurant Chicken Lollipop: Yes, I love their mind blowing recipe; it is so much fun having it. The only different between the chicken lollipop I had eaten before was fully dried, deep fried and served with schezwan sauce. Here, in Parkview they serve you dressed with their own Chinese style sauce with some raw chopped cabbage. It comes in really good quantity, a plate is best for 2-3 persons.  Truly, I never had chicken lollipop anywhere else in Udaipur except Parkview so I cannot compare it.

……….

Green Salad was good and best to make the meat digested; they don’t have any other cold drinks accept pepsi and other pepsi products, so coke lovers you won’t be so happy. The damage was around Rs.546/- including VAT. All over a fair experience, though I won’t encourage you to have chicken tandoori but I am still a fan of Parkview.
