7 vendors have been penalised by the ADM court for selling normal flavoured milk in the name of saffron flavoured milk. The vendors have been directed to deposit the fine within a month's period.
The investigating officer bought sterlised homogenised flavoured toned Amul Kool premium keasr milk from the railway station's Amul Milk Parlour in 2017. The company has shown strands of saffron floating in the milk glass on the image on the milk pack. When consumed this milk turned out to be mere flavoured milk. The cheating has listed the prestigious Amul company in the misbrand list under the FSSA 2006 as it overrules the standards as listed in the act.
7 people including vendor Sanpreet Singh, Sub-license holder Arvind Garg, GCMMFL Branch Manager, Deputy Manager Naresh Shah, Manish Alawat of M/s Mangla Trading Co. have been made party in this fraud.
A fine of 20,000 rupees each on 2 of these, 30,000 rupees on one of the members, 40,000 each on 2 others and 50,000 rupees fine on 2 members has been levied by the ADM court. The fine which totals to 2.5 lakh rupees must be deposited within a month.
