^nd of May, as usual a family day out for me. This time we had lot of fun outside. But, this article is dedicated to one of the places we visited yesterday, Utsav Ice-cream. Since I know Utsav, I never get disappointed by their service and ice-creams. They are the only challenger to Udaipur’s oldest and one of the best Gujarat Ice-cream, which I reviewed last week. Utsav has its own taste, specialties and favorites. To be very true I find Utsav a best place to enjoy delightful menu of different flavored ice-creams in Udaipur. We are regular there since last 2 years. Like Gujarat Ice-cream, Utsav also caters with their own factory made ice-creams, though their varieties are less than Gujarat but still Utsav have some finest flavored and perhaps best in terms of quantity, quality and price. So, what we had yesterday at Utsav? We ordered two of their best ice-creams which very possibly gave name to Utsav as a specialist of American Dry Fruit and Shahi Gulab. Though there are around 15-20 varieties of ice-creams in their menu but my favorites are the above two. All most all served as half/full with around Rs. 10/15 for half and Rs.20/25 for full.

Shahi Gulab: It is full of crushed rose petals which are commonly known as gulkand. Utsav’s Shahi Gulab is extremely aromatic flavored ice-cream which I am sure cannot be found in any popular brands of India like Amul, Kwality Walls or Baskins’ and Robbins. With gulkand, they mix some dry-fruits too which is another magical combination of milk, cream, rose petal and dry fruits. You will enjoy the taste of it. But I know some people don’t like blockage of anything like dry fruits etc. between ice cream and their taste buds. If you have such problem then there is nothing but vanilla can do best for you. I don’t like plain ice-creams so Shahi Gulab of Utsav is always one of my favorite.

American Dry Fruits: Now, here comes the super star of Utsav, if you’ve visited Utsav and never tried this one then I think you need to re-visit them to grab American dry fruits. It is simply amazing and most popular ice-cream there. Conceptually, Very similar to Gujarat’s American Nuts but very divergent from taste and quality in comparable to later one. A hell amount of nuts, jelly and cream with very good quantity in best rate, American dry fruit will make you feel contented. I bet! If there is anything which I don’t like about Utsav is their ambience, personally, I feel uncomfortable sitting in dim lighted surrounding. Otherwise they are my favorite for their ice-creams, service and price. Second thing which I feel missing in Utsav is kulfi, I love it in Gujarat Ice-cream but Utsav misses that or maybe I did not try it because I never heard any good thing about it. Last negative point which is less considerable for me is they don’t have proper cooling system in their parlor, no AC or air cooler but as it is open I never felt exhausted. All over Utsav is best way to relax yourself and your family in this record breaking hot in Udaipur. Address:
