Yesterday, on the eve of Diwali not a single corner of Udaipur was left dark and just about every nook and corner of the city was bejeweled with beautiful diyas and rangoli. As the night progressed the rejoicing atmosphere embraced the whole city.

After Lakshmi Pooja, it was time for bursting fire crackers, meeting friends and relatives, relishing mouth watering sweets and walking through the markets to see the spectacular decorations. The big night with all its happiness, sweetness and brightness gave way to a new day with a new hope.
