One of the must-visit places in shilpgram is the Gol museum named so after its round structure. Made as a circular structure, the museum draws crowds with its unique name, Gol Museum.  It most certainly is attention grabbing.  Each item displayed has been tagged with notes explaining necessary details to make the visitors understand the tribal culture.  A deep look at the museum actually tells us that the West Zone needs to be studied in depth because the common folk do not know enough about these tribes and a mere mention that they do exist is not enough.

Various musical instruments leave you in awe too, as most of them are names which have not been heard thus visitors are not aware of them. The ancient folk instruments tell us that music was much more unique and beautiful in those times since there was no technology to enhance the musical effect (which is almost unnatural).  The naturalism of music of tribes does make you wonder a lot since you can stand there imagining the tribes holding those instruments and creating an environment soulful enough to make you shudder with the feel.  Terracotta, paintings depicting tradition, tribal masks are all there to make you imagine that you are in a tribal area from where you wouldn’t want to escape at all.

A good place for school children to learn about the tribal art, the Gol Museum is one of the most special places in Shilpgram to visit.  It is worth a visit.
