The festival of Mewar – Gangaur was celebrated with its everlasting charisma and devotion. Women dressed in colorful attire were seen holding highly adorned idol of Gauri denote to Gangaur.
Gangaur procession was carried out from Jagdish Chowk to Gangaur Ghat, where a large mass was congregated to offer the custom which is being followed since many years.
In Udaipur, the festival is organized by local administration with the close coordination of Department of Tourism.
Centre of attraction is the Gangaur Boat, a colorful and embellished boat in the middle of Lake Pichola.
Gangaur is the term generated from Gana (Lord Shiva) and Gauri (Parvati), when combined makes Gangaur, symbolizing Marital Bless.
