The change in weather gave people of Udaipur a sigh of relief in morning and afternoon from the intense heat wave prevailing over past few days. However, the change in weather soon took a lethal turn and thunderstorm with high speed winds caused mayhem around the city around late afternoon. There are also reports of hail (oley) storm in parts of city. 

A steel hoarding fell opposite Celebration Mall on Khopcha restaurant injuring one person. Thankfully, other people managed to run from the scene and escaped unhurt.

Such was the intensity of thunderstorm that big trees were also uprooted from their base. In some unfortunate cases, the trees fell on cars crushing them.

While the change in weather was welcome, the destruction was not!
