The grand celebrations of the 475^th Birth Anniversary of Mewar’s son Maharana Pratap began at Moti Magri where prayers were offered in front of the fire at 5.30 AM.

Secretary Yudhvir Singh Shaktawat and President Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Maharana Pratap Smarak Samiti, with S.S Ranawat, S.P Rathore and Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari offered their prayers at Moti Magri.

A flavor of melodious music was infused in the celebration with performance by Army Band, Police Band, Bohra Band, Palace Band and Maharana Mewar School Band. Afterwards, Prasad was distributed to all present.

In the city, a mass procession was carried out as well to commemorate the birth anniversary that started from Moti Magri and crossed various parts of the city. Members of various institutions partook in the event.

Continuing the tradition, the statue of Maharana Pratap at Surajpol circle was garlanded and District Police SP gave salute. The rally echoed with the name of Pratap and slogans of his heroic deeds.
