~20,000 patients in Udaipur in 5 days

Udaipurites have been caught up with seasonal diseases. As per figures released by MB Hospital, 5-day period ending Oct 9, saw ~20,000 patients come for medical check-ups.The above number includes patients in both MB hospital and Ladies ward (Janana). Out of the 20,000 patients, 70% of the patients complained of seasonal diseases including vomiting, diarrhoea, fever etc. 175 patients were administered malaria tests out of which 30 tested positive.

Dengue was also found on rise with 5 patients reporting positive results. 7 people have been identified with swine flu symptoms though the test results are yet to be confirmed.

Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Sanjeev Tank informed that they have started circulation of precautionary information to the citizens.
