Medical facility in Udaipur is set to get a face lift with the inauguration of super specialty wing at MB Hospital. The Super Specialty centre has come up at a cost of Rs 150 Cr and is set to start from September.

Dr Lalit Kumar Regar, Vice Principal, RNT Medical College said that 11 departments will be run in the Super Specialty Wing. These departments will include Radiotherapy, Urology, Neurology, Neuro Surgery, Uromedicine, Plastic Surgery, Nephrology and Endocrinology amongst others.

Out of Rs 150 Cr, Rs 120 Cr has come from the Centre while Rs 30 Cr has come from State Government.

Starting of this seven storeyed facility will open up multiple medical treatment avenues for people in and around Udaipur.

Urology department is set to get Lithotripsy machine as a result of which kidney stones can be removed without operation. The machine will come at a cost of Rs 5 Crore.

Nephrology department will have facility for kindey transplant. Endocrinology department will have a Dexa scanning machine worth Rs 40 Lakh that will allow for bone density scanning. Camera costing Rs 10 Lakh will allow taking pictures of small intestine. Doppler machines will also be installed.
