Ambamata District Hospital Extends OPD Till 9:00 PM
At the evening OPD, treatment will be provided for general and non-critical conditions such as abdominal pain, headache, vomiting, fever, cold, etc
Udaipur, Dec 6, 2025 – The Ambamata district hospital will now be open to patients until 9:00 pm unlike the earlier time of only from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. This decision was taken in a meeting chaired by RNT Medical College Principal and Controller Dr Vipin Mathur.
As per the State Government’s instructions, the OPD will now operate daily from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Additional staff has also been deployed from the hospital for this purpose.
The evening OPD will have a paediatrician, a gynaecologist and a medical officer available every day. During this time, treatment will be provided for general and non-critical conditions such as abdominal pain, headache, vomiting, fever, cold, etc. This was decided by Hospital Superintendent Dr Rahul Jain, along with the Heads of the Departments of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics and Anaesthesiology from the Medical College.
According to the hospital administration, the new arrangement will reduce the crowd pressure on the regular OPD. At present, the hospital receives 900 to 1,100 patients daily for treatment.
Dr Jain informed that in the coming days, Medicine and Surgery units will also be established after which senior physicians and senior surgeons will be available at the hospital. Currently, the hospital has doctors from departments of Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Dentistry, Anaesthesiology, Pathology and Geriatrics.
